Super db ist eine vierköpfige Band aus London/UK. Auf ihrem Debüt-Album „Ecoute Ca“ mischen die Zwillingsbrüder J-M Sutcliffe (Gitarren & Gesang) und J-P Sutcliffe (Schlagzeug, Gesang, Keys & Percussion) zusammen mit Lorenzo Bassignani (Bass) und Matt Dibble (Keys, Gesang, Sax & Klarinette) Pop, Disco, Funk, Rock und Jazz. Sie sind Multiinstrumentalisten, wechseln sich in den Lead-Vocals ab und präsentieren zwölf optimistische Eigenkompositionen.

Nach „Kool Funk“ und „Open Line To Me“, zwei Singles in Eigenregie, erschien im Mai 2021 mit „Wait For Me“, die erste offizielle Auskopplung aus „Ecoute Ca“. "Ecoute Ca" ist eine Hommage an den Yacht-Rock- und US-Westcoast-Sound der 70er und 80er Jahre, in einer Synthese mit den vielfältigen Songwriting-Ansätzen der Band. Der Sound hat einen funky Bass, Gitarren-Riffs, ein prägnantes Saxophon und Vokalharmonien: Eine Kombination aus vertrauten Klängen und unerwarteter Frische. "Ecoute Ca" enthält zwölf Songs, die den freudigen Soundtrack zum dringend benötigten Sommer-Feeling liefern.

Im Mai 2021 mussten Super db leider den vorzeitigen und plötzlichen Tod ihres Gründungsmitglieds Matt Dibble vermelden. Zu Matts Ehren widmen sich die verbleibenden Bandmitglieder weiterhin dem Teilen und Fördern der Musik, die sie zusammen gemacht haben, und werden die positive Stimmung und Lebenslust, die Matt immer in das Projekt und das Leben im Allgemeinen gebracht hat, bewahren. "Ecoute Ca" repräsentiert alles, was das Quartett als Einheit kreiert hat, und die Veröffentlichung macht mehr Sinn als je zuvor.
