Japanese Dj and producer Chikashi Nishiwaki continues his remix love affair with Aussie groups and delivers a balearic re-make of '41 Bernhard', teaming up with some friends to create a crossover piece fusing nu jazz, bossa and beats flavours. He enlists some local Japanese musicians bringing in extra keys, sax and the dulcet vocal tones of his wife Emi who ends the track with poetic vocals (in Japanese) about walking through nature.

Chikashi is well known in the Japanese underground/crossover scene working alongside artists such as Ryota Nozaki (Jazztronik), Toshio Matsurra & U.F.O., DJ Krush, Shacho (Soil and Pimp Sessions) Mitsuru Ogawa (ex DMR) with remixes and releases on labels such as Mr Bongo, Victor, Mighty Highness Records etc. He's previously remixed other notable Australian artists Tyrone Noonan (George) and Kafka. At his club/bar in the small seaside town of Tsuruga/Fukui he's hosted names such Osaka Monaurail, Gilles Peterson, Nicola Conte and Raffael Seebag (UFO).
